Ladybugs Bite - Ch. 8 I'm dreaming. I know I'm dreaming because Mom is smiling at me. She hugs me close to her and I smell vanilla and cinnamon. I remember vaguely that this is the way Hana smells, but that train of thought is quickly replaced by another. I don't want this dream to go away. It's what I've always wished for. For Mom to hug me like this. She suddenly makes a rumbling sound from the pit of her stomach that sounds suspiciously like a purr. I raise an eyebrow. Then her hair rubs up against my cheek, the texture of fur, and the dream is gone.
